First, here is great news: Our Chairman Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla will flag off our Silver Jubilee Celebrations – Aditya Birla Scholarships Programme and deliver the inaugural address welcoming Prof. Michael Sandel, from Harvard University and a world-renowned author. We are privileged to have him as our keynote speaker.
The Event
This ABG Scholarship event (9th and 10th November at the ITC Grand Central, Parel) is about you and for you. We take pride in the manner in which you all have shaped into leadership positions in different domains – as entrepreneurs, unicorns, academicians, professionals, global leaders and more. Congratulations.
The ABG Scholarship is aspirational. The feedback we have received from the IITs, BITS, IIMs, XLRI and the NLUs is that it is a calling card. And that for us is a matter of rejoicement, and great pride. This is a collective endeavour for all of you scholars and us at the ABG Scholarship.
That said, we’d like to thank the cohort of 275 ABG scholars, who have responded to our base team. They are a great resource.
Our Team
- Our team being led by Ishan Sinha (2018) is admirably supported by ABG Scholars: Anshul Prakash (2021), Shivani Pandey (2021), Swathi Suraj (2022), Lahar Jain (2019), Santanu Goswami (2023), working with my oversight. Let me add that we are banking on Prashant Sarin and Ishan Sinha and all of you.

Logistics
- We will host your stay for 9th and 10th of November, at the ITC Grand Central (Parel) check out on the 11th of November. (Check in 3 pm, check out 11am)
- All travel arrangements will have to be made on your own.
- On the stay arrangement, please mark a copy of your mail also to Madhuri Gharpure (madhuri.gharpure@adityabirla.com) and Deodith Menzes (deodith.menezes@adityabirla.com) from my team.
- A dedicated ABG check-in desk will be set up at the ITC with our administrative staff in attendance.
Accommodation
We have already booked individual rooms for each one of you at the ITC Grand Central (Parel). Some of you wanted to bring your spouse along, to share your and our moment of pride. You are most welcome to do so and make it an even more fulfilling experience.
For the class of 2024-25 and scholars who have not yet graduated from the institute, the stay will be on a twin sharing basis.
Firm commitment
Since your accommodation has already been booked, you have to stand up to your commitment. Cancellations would cost us the room charge for two nights – a criminal waste of money. We will request for your credit card details to cover any incidentals or cancellations.
The Programme
- We will be letting you in on the way the 2 days shape up soon. For 9th and 10th, we have planned exciting evenings. The celebrations programme will evolve as we go along. Most of it has met with Mr. Birla’s approval. We begin at 5:30 pm with the inaugural address by Mr. Birla, followed by Prof. Sandel’s keynote speech, a Q&A session, felicitations along with a cultural programme.
- 9th evening: Aditya Birla Scholarship class of 2024-25 will be announced at a special felicitation function in the ITC ballroom. We will name the scholars for the current academic year, followed by a two-minute talk by our distinguished panel of judges and awarding the certificate at the hands of Mrs. Rajashreeji Birla. So, you have to be with us from 7 pm up until 8:30 and then join in for dinner. It will give you different takes and may stoke fond memories of the time you spent with us.
- For the 10th, the earlier part of the day is being planned by Ishan, and the ABG Scholars team. They are most open to having your thoughts. On this they will revert.
Recommended travel plan
- Please plan your flight to arrive at the latest by 5 pm on the 9th of November. And your departure timed after 10 pm on the 10th should you decide to take a late-night flight. We recommend taking the flight back home on the 11th morning, post breakfast, so that you are well rested.
